Old Pueblo Guest House

The owners of this midcentury home aimed to create a comfortable and safe aging-in-place environment for
their mother, with the vision of establishing a family compound.
Clean finishes, light tones, and simple lines were employed to craft a warm and welcoming atmosphere for their
mother-in-law. This two-bedroom, two-bath freestanding guest house, spanning almost 1,000 square feet, stands out as one of the most inviting homes in the area.
Constructed with insulated concrete forms (ICF), the guest house offers a quiet and highly energy-efficient living space. The kitchen features glass block accents in the backsplash, enhancing the natural light from the
warm Southwestern sun.
